How do you rig and fish a saltwater sea shad assassin? I read that this was a killer lure, but Ive never fished one before.

I have a tank of fish in my basement... if it were up to me, I would let them loose in my pool so I could fish in my backyard!

If you are trying to save the earth I wouldn't use plastic,I would go all natural.

The best way fish them is with a jig head.

The jig heads you should look at are Deluxe Jigheads and Bullet Head's.

They are designed to swim so think of them as swimbaits. I like to rip them for 3 or 4 cranks them let them fall, then rip them again. Other times I will keep a steady retrieve but dip my rod tip up and down to create an up and down swimming motion.

These baits are deadly in shallow murky water where the fish need a little vibration to help them zero in on the bait.

.. and if the water is color is really bad, it's windy, and things are working out so well, you can also attach a Red Daddy Jig made by Bass Assassin and boom you got a spinnerbait slash sea shad combo.

Have you ever watched a frightened shrimp ?

3-4 jerks , pause , repeat. Fast retrieve for trout,
slow bottom-bounceing retrieve for flounder .
Redfish may hit it either way,

I usually use shrimp. If we keep on using live bait, the bait species will be overexploited as well as the fish species. So, i'm turning to lures and soft plastics.
