conroe. from what ive heard lake houston is better for stripers than LMB

Fayette County, Gibbons Creek, Bastrop....they are not exactly Houston area, but still close enough. I live in Katy and it's just as far to go to Fayette as it is to go to Conroe for me. Fayette is much less crowded and not so many jet/water skiers/tubing.
Power means absolutely nothing if you can't control it.

I hate to say this but Conroe has been hot. It has been producing more weight than Sam Rayburn in tournaments. You better hurry the jet ski population is getting bigger everyday.
