The "1st Annual Britteny Lindt Memorial Bass Tournament" will be held on Saturday May 31st at Lake Lewisville.

Britteny Lindt was a beautiful 15 year old cheerleader from Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. On August 18, 2006, Britteny was tubing on Lake Lewisville when a man, who had been drinking all day ran over Britteny with his boat and killed her. Because of the sub-standard water safety laws, this man walked free without a single day in jail. He had chosen to drive in circles around Britteny causing her to fall off of the tube she was riding and ultimately ran over her. There is not a law in Texas that prohibits a boater from "circling" around another watercraft, thus he was found not-guilty. Britteny's parents founded the "Britteny Lindt Fund" two days after her death in an effort to stop others from dying on our lakes from intoxicated and reckless boaters.

I would like to personally invite you to join us at Lake Lewisville for this benefit tournament and help us raise funds for the important work that the "Britteny Lindt Fund" is doing to help make our lakes a safer place for our families to enjoy. There will be incredible prizes and alot of fun.

I can't imagine that this guy got off with no jail time. What about Manslaughter? This is so sad.

Fish tremble at the mention of my name.

I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Lindt (Brittney's father)yesterday at the WBT weigh-in. As a father of a 15 year old myself, I couldn't begin to imagine what losing "my little princess" would be like at such a young age...as a matter of fact, at any age during my lifetime.

The strength and determination that Mr. Lindt shows is absolutely remarkable. While many others in the same situation would be looking at finding a way to put closure to the loss of their loved one, he has chosen to stand up and fight to make sure that none of us have to experience such a tragedy.

Scott and Helen Gordon have done an incredible job supporting and communicating the message that Mr. Lindt and his organization is trying to deliver.

I would encourage all anglers, boaters and outdoor sportsmen and sportswomen to rally behind this great cause.

I Look forward to seeing you at the tournament!

For all of you that are familiar with this or do not know about it... this is a tragedy and a beautiful young girl has been lost. God has a way of taking the most unfortunate events in life, like this one, and takes them into His hands to turn them around to use them for His glory. Scott and Helen Gordon, along with the Lindt family & organization, are chosen vessels to help carry out this mission toward making our waterways safer. Anyone that can attend this event or contribute will be blessed. It is a great cause!
Thanks Scott and Helen...

Yes Mike, I am very secure, especially with my 9mm Beretta 92F that couldn't be seen under my shirt!

Now I know a hanging is the right thing. As for the laws in this country, come on, you know better then that. you can take someones life, have ten DWI's then kill someone, robbery what ever and you will do no time. Remember they have rights and the jails are to crowded. Now if I was the father and some how this ****er got ran over on the water by accident what do you think would happen. yep jail time. I hate our goverment. Please don't get me started. Now I am realy PO'ed. Sorry for the loss and my heart hurts for ya. Makes me tear up.

Thanks,
