Made a trip out to Canyon on Sunday with the intent to only use the shaky head and D/S. Got on the water about 9 AM the bite was pretty slow and the wind was 10-20 mph, water temp 65. I was using a big bite jig head 1/4 oz, and 5 inch blue flake shaky head power worm. Brought 4 LMB in the boat the biggest being 16 inches. Sorry no pictures, forgot the Digital. I did miss a couple of hits I think due to my technique. I tried just twitching it with limp line, that is when I missed most of the hits. Then twitching it with tight line. I am still new at it so I guess that I did ok. Any helpfull tips would be greatly appreciated. I also tried D/S, 4 inch Robo purple/chart tail, and 3/8 weight. Not bites on it but lost several hooks and weights. Just also wanted to say thanks to all of the people that have given me advice in the past, present and future.

use the tru tungstun shakey heads. their made from tungstun, are more dense and compact than lead. and you have more feel with them. stick with the gulp or powerbait shakey worms.

I used the shakey head technique for the first time in the Media Super Teams event. Fished 100% clean, never missed a fish on it. They sucked that bad boy in and held on. I am hooked so to speak. Mark

I dont know what lake you were fishing...But some lakes with big populations of bluegill will give you fits until you learn to really feel the bites and what is going on. You start fishing small worms and finesse techniques and you will get blugill pulling on the back end of you worms or just pushing them off of their beds. Something to think about if the bites you were missing were pretty weak. JR

I know the feeling there.. I remember my first strike. Now that you have caught a few,,, you will see that this is a hard technique to stop using.
Rip some Lips ya'll.

Shakey heads are awesome, I love to fish them when I feel I get the chance to. I like throwing the s/h and the d/s at docks.
