Here is a recipie I have used!

1 box wheaties
1 pound hamburger
1/2 pound limburger cheese (or other stinky cheese)
1 beer
1 can of chew (skoal mint is what I used)
garlic salt

Mix and leave closed sitting in sun till the flies dont go around anymore. That's when you know it's real stinky!

How are you supposed to get it on your hook without gettin stunk up? Actually a good bait naturally doesn't smell like perfume but also doesn't have to smell like the last rotted remains of godzilla either. I suppose you could make a fine not so stinky bait by getting a canned gallon of nacho cheese, running an equal amount of shad thru a blender, mix with enough non iodized salt to keep it from spoiling and you would have a pretty good dip bait. Allow to sit in the sun in a vented container for a couple weeks and you will know for sure if you put enough salt in there.

years ago I bought the recipie on ebay for like 2 dollars. I would just take a treble hook, jam it in the with a stick and whatever came up I fished with. The wheaties binds it all together. Im not saying it's anything special. This forum is for getting the info out there. That's all I was doin. I dont get to stinks messin with it becasue I dont touch it. I rarely use it except for when the fish go shallow. It's fun to let kids catch cats with a float.

Adding up the cost of ingrediants your starting to get an expensive bait there and I have no doubt it'll catch fish. I always feel my bait is a bit gone if there are maggots in it though.

The 1/2 pound of limburger cost as much as everything else combined.
