Have any of you been cut off while working down a stretch of bank by a boat using live bait??
Last Sunday and Monday I took some Friends out on Lake Fork, while fishing one of my favorite spots two guys cut us off with only 40-50 yards between us. They were from out of state..
They moved up close to the grass line and were pitching a small cork with what looked like a big minnow or shiner under it about 14-16 inches down.
I didn't take to kindly of there actions and got a little hissed off. I thought about firing up the big motor and doing too them, what they had done to me. As I watched them catch a small fish up close to the grass line I got even more T'ed off..
Better judgement prevailed and I said what the heck, maybe we can embarrass them a little(prolly not possible with folks like that). I noticed their boat was sitting where we were catching fish, the fish were in 4-6 foot not many up tight like they thought..
So we followed suit and sur-nuff one of my Kentucky buddies rares back on a good fish, a 9.01-lb bass. We make a few remarks about sur wish we was using minners it might have been a SAL..
We stay behind them for 30-mins or so, and catch a few more nothing big really, but they got 1, we got 4.. Finally they give it up, as I draw closer and closer to their back end.
Lesson learned: Remain clam when idiots or rudeness comes your way, some times you can have a little fun with the goobers if the situation is right. This time it was, and I didn't look like a hot head in front of my Out of State friends. Fork is over run right now, so keep your cool and be courteous to others, and the good lord will reward you.
