What happened to this tourney? I remember back in the early 90's it paid alot more than 10k. With cost factored in you have to win just to make money. Hourly check won't cover it.

thats why we quit fishing it about 3 years ago. we started putting a pen to it & things didnt add up. if you have fished it over the years you would see the pay outs have decreased. just my 2cents.

KEAN hasnt held the tourny in atleast 7 or 8 yrs,that was KBCY and i did hear some bad things about them.KEAN is the orginal tourney.They quit haveing them when Hubbard got low. THey do not make any money off the entry fees it is paid back,The money listed is the gauranteed money and could be more ,even the hourly money like all tournys it depends on how many fish.

I remember when this tournament was 200,000 and the last were at Ivie I fished them. The last year they had to give away two trucks and two boats for exact weight fish. Anybody else remember the one in early 80s 16 year old kid won 90,00 from the back of dads boat, came back the next year had a new trans-am and boat he got with the money.
