I actually prefer the dirty water...Fishing on Lewisville has been awesome for about the last 2 weeks...It will probably be tight lipped with the WBT going on next weekend though

I have been out 4 times with 2 of the wBT anglers in the last 2 10 days. When they are letting water out of it at 3629 cfs and now 3119 cfs, the fish get a little more reluctant, but they can be coaxed. I am not writing reports, because I am also helping 3 Bass Champs teams, too. Best 6 hours was last week, we had over 16 in about 5 hours. Three patterns worked in different areas of the lake. MOST of the anglers, do not want to fish the jigging spoon (SHHHH) or deeper water, but want to beat the shallows. Had a GOOD fish on Saturday in less than 5 ft of water. She decided she didn't want to come to the boat and destroyed a $15 CB I was throwing on 20 lb McCoys Mean Green. do not know how big she was, but with a Curado 200B5 and a Phoenix/Blaze 7 MH rod, I had absolutely NO control. I am going to call her a big old drum (yeah, right). She was up shallow in the MUDDY water, but we have been catching fish all over the lake on pretty much whatever presentation you want to present (except deep). C-rig, drop shot, CB, SB, senko/fluke, even a buzzbait fish, but most of the big girls haven't moved up yeat, but they are ready too.

Wish I could help more, but I have 3 more trips this week and 3 more trips next week (Bass Champs), so I have to be a little bit tight lipped.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

senko bite has been good, flipping bite has been good...and have caught some nice fish on buzzbait. It has been fun and the typical community spawning areas have a lot of fish but they will be pretty finicky by the time the tournament rolls around

LOL,

Yeah, that is about what we are finding evolutio44. Basica pattern hit them in the head. Not really, but you can catch fisha lot of different ways out there now.

Eric, Personally, I think shwing up 4 weeks and 3 weeks before your tournament is bit of overkill. Sorry to say, but over 80 of my trips are with T anglers. Most all want the same thing, to eliminate water. At times, that can be easier or harder. But, if soneone is going to offer me $300 to ride around and fish with them, who am I to turn it down? The least we caught was about 8 lbs, we are not hammering the fish, but I am trying to give them ideas of what mght be happpening in 2 weeks. I know, depends on the weather.

Also, the WBT AOY gets an invite to the Classic for 2009. Do the ends justify the means? I don't do it, but a LOT of anglers do. Is it right? Is it ethical? Your choice. The big names used to do it all the time. Back about 8 or 9 years ago, Strike King wuold get ALL of their local PROs, guides and weekend warriors in a room and KVD would go in and interview them to find out what the best the best had to offer. I was at one of those meetings. When the Elite fished LL, Mark Davis came up and road around 2 days with a Local Internet Pro. So did a lot of others.

It is a business decision, not an "Is this right" situation. IF you can spend $300 to $900 and increase your odds of cashing a check with another zero in it, well, Money talks and bS walks.

Just some comments from a guy that has been there done that on fishing on my own. I think I have hired 2 guides in my life. A salt water guide on the flats and my dad wanted to go fish Lake Alan Henrr, where he grew up, but didn't want me to pull my boat up there. Garrick McPherson was the guide adn he put us on some good fish and even a lake record smallmouth, if we had taken the time to take it into Post to get certified in Ocotober 98. I have been out with guides aa teir guest, but as their guest. I guess I paid for them, though, as I gave them about $50 to $100 in lures that they didn't have access too.

Oh well, life goes on.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Thad Rains

PS. Castlemate1, sorry about hijacking your post.

To all that have asked, I sent a PM to you. Again, I apologize to the people wanting to talk about LL fishing. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. One of the WBT anglers didn't make it, sponsor problems and I didn't hear from another, so helped 2, instead of 4. BassChamps, one partner lost his dad, so I am down to helping 2 teams.

I don't know Thad, never met him and he has never met me, but I have seldom read more detailed reports than his. He is one of the primary names I search on when trying to learn a lake. He may not be talking now, but there is more than expected details in his prior years reports.

Hey Yall...

I cleaned up this Bash Fest and WE ask that You All Stop This Attacking anyone that says something you don't agree with.
If it continues there will be actions taken none of us want to see.

This Forum was started to Help Fishermen and Ladies enjoy their time water and Exchange Information that will Help Each Of Us get better at our sport. Bashing and calling eachother out does nothing to Help towards that intent.

If you have a Personal Question send that person a Private Message.. Click on their TFF Handle and use the pop up menu.

If you don't have something HELPFUL to add to a tread..

Please just pass it on bye!
