WELL WE GOT OUT ON THE LAKE THIS AFTERNOON RIGHT AT HIGH NOON, THOUGH YOU COULD NOT TELL DEW TO THE NICE OVERCAST THAT WAS STILL HANGING AROUND. AS USUAL WE HIT THE FISRT DOCK OUT OF THE COVE AND WITH HIS FIRST GOOD SHOOT UNDER, MY BUDDY PULLS OUT A NICE ONE. NEXT, WE WENT DOWN LAKE TO CANEY TO TRY SOME DOCKS THERE. I CONNECTED WITH MY FIRST CRAPPIE OF THE DAY. AFTER TRYING WITH NOT A LOT OF SUCCESS AT SHOOTIN' IN CANEY WE RAN OVER TO A BRUSH PILE WE KNOW DOWN THERE AND MY WIFE CAUGHT THE BIGGEST OF THE DAY!  FINSHED THE EVENING BACK UP IN THE HOME COVE AREA CATCHING TWO MORE KEEPER CRAPPIE, FOR A TOTAL OF SIX NICE KEEPERS AND FEW THROW BACKS. MY BUDDY PAUL (CAPTAIN BLY) WITH THE DAY'S CATCH.  STILL LEARNING CHUCK!

ONLY CAUGHT 3 MORE TODAY BUT 2 WERE WITH THE STRIPE.NEAT LOOKING FISH!  AND HERES THE WEEKEND CATCH NOW.  NOT SURE OF THE WEIGHT OF THE BIG ONE BUT HERES ONE FROM LAST WEEK THATS EVEN BIGGER  NOT SURE OF ITS WEIGHT EITHER.PROBLY A GOOD THING SINCE I DIDNT CATCH THEM.

I went out this morning and stayed out for 2 hours, we managed 5 crappie all under docks in our cove one of them was a mohawk crappie with the stripe.

Thanks alot guy's! I hope it gets better in the next couple of weeks. maybe soon I can catch 20 or 30 in a day rather than 2 or 3 a day.

 IT SURE HAS BE FUN LEARNING HOW TO SHOOT DOCKS, I NEVER THOUGHT CRAPPIE FISHING IN THE SPRING WOULD BE AS MUCH FUN AS BASS FISHING, TILL I LEARNED YOU COULD SHOOT A LITTLE JIG LIKE THAT!!! I CAN'T WAIT TILL MY NEXT WEEK-END OFF AGAIN!! LOOKING FORWARD TO TRYING TO REACH THAT REALLY DARK SPOT WAY BACK THERE, PAST THE THREE POST AND THEN LET'R DROP AND WAIT FOR THE THUMP (OR MORE THAN NOT THAT FUNNY HEAVY FEELIN')!!! HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE OUT ON THE WATER GUYS AND GAILS!!
