Did really well in the creeks for sandies and hybrids, they are still spawning.

Gizzard flip,

I Applaud YOU. On a great catch and RELEASE clap

Good Job Man,

Mark Parker...

from the looks on your web site you and your clients need to practice catch and release. I guarentee that you are responsible for takeing more fish out of the local lakes than any non-pro on this forum. i take a couple hundred fish out of the lake each year... you can do that on a good day!.

Nogeese, I think you chose the wrong forum. Please look for the guide bashing forum next time, it's the one right after TFF Photo Gallery and Image Manager. offtopic

Wow ..... that is not the intention of my post. I was just tring to help my fellow anglers with my success . If you ever read Mark Parkers post he is always very helpful and he knows what he is talking about . I think his clients have a say if they catch or release not him. You can not blame a guy if he knows how to fish and can put his clients on limits.

It looks, to me, like he is a very good guide and lets the paying customer decide what to do with the fish they catch.
I they want to keep some fish for the freezer than what differance does it make if they found them or were put on them by an able guide. way to show your clients a good time Mr. Parker!
Gizzard flip, thanks for info went out today and found a few, sure felt good feeling the tug of a line again!!

Went out earlier and caught some whites.

Another guy I talked to said he got into a mess of whites and netted about 40-50.

I wasn't that lucky, but it appears that the fishing is getting better.

Not bashing at all just stateing the obvious. I appreciate all the info the guides post and have hired a few of them who have taught me allot.

it would seem to me that if your livelyhood depended on the fish you would encorage catch and release.

relax man...

I think the #1 "crime" of most fisherman is keeping hybrids that due to their size are not obviously hybrids. I noticed a lot of that this weekend. I think a lot of "spawning" hybrids are not the first cross, which makes it a bit more confusing / harder to tell.

There is no obvious about it, you took a direct shot at someone for something they cannot cannot enforce. It is up to each "person" to keep or release not the guide. Curious if you kept or released on your guided trips? I suspect that is part of your couple hundred that you take... Legal limits are just that.. legal. Guide or not.

Not sure what this is all about, but on the few times i have hired a guide, i have gotten a few weird looks and near disbelief when i have told a guide, "throw it back", or, "I am gonna release this one"!

The guides that seem to have the most trouble with that are the "box fish" guides at Texoma. I guess they deal with so many "weekend warriors" that may only fish once or twice a year, and it is important that he keep what he catches that is legal, they kinda get thrown for a loop when someone like us, from the forum, who catch a LOT of fish and Release MOST of what we catch, gets in a boat with em and just wants to have some fun on the lake! I had one guide, who's name i have never seen mentioned on here, so we'll keep it that way, get really persnickety when i started catching one striper after another and was releasing them as fast as I was catching them, and brother it was fast and furious! He was questioning why i would pay for a trip when i wasn't gonna keep the fish. Didn't have the heart to tell him I was an "advance scouting party" for my brother in law and mine's future forays into "target rich environments!" An investment that paid dividends in spades!

But I am not real sure what your point is here...

However I will be sure and riederate mine, which is Practice what you preach... That is all.

Sorry man but I will not argue with you.

peace smile

The only time it seems correct to criticize a guide for keeping fish is 1) when they try to keep their own limit of fish on top of their client's limits, and 2) when they insist that the clients keep fish even though the client wants to release them. Otherwise, their clients are entitled to keep their fish within bag & size limits.

Here we go again!!!!!! As long as no laws are being broke...........whatever. We can argue this [censored] all day long. On a brighter note, glad to see things FINALLY picking up on Lewisville. I'll be out Tuesday, weather permitting.
