Anyone have any experience or heard anything on either of these Mexican waters?

I've heard the Mexican lakes cycle from time to time making some of them hot and some on the decline...

Dad has been twice, I've been once. It was everything I dreamed it could possibly be the 2 months leading up to the trip.

I could not ask for better service, better food, better margis, better fishing....it was awesome.

Many people think that you stand a better chance for a monster at Bac. Statiscally, that might be true, but my buddy's 12lber tells another story..lol.

JFB- It could very well be the best money you'll ever spend.

Can't say about Bac, but I will tell you that Huites is full of bass, full of big bass, and surrounded by some of God's most gorgeous creation.

And Trophy Bass Lodge is second to none, IMO.

Here's a link to a story on Huites from last spring:

Just came back from Huites and it was the best 5 day vacation of my life. I can't say enough about it. I wish that I could go once a month. H&ll, I wish I owned a lake house on it and private jet to get me there. Then I wouldn't have time to come in here and tell you how good it was!
GO. Thats all I gotta say. Just be prepared for a good slap in the face by reality when you come back and fish your normal lakes. It won't ever be the same. You can take one tackle box with 20 5 inch swim baits to last your entire trip. You don't need anything else unless you prefer to catch average fish all day. I caught 5 and 6 lb. bass until my arms hurt. Take lots of film and sunblock and thats all you need. Either Lodge that you stay at on the lake will take care of the rest.
Let us know when you get back!

February at Huites was the best month we have seen in the five years I have been involved with the lake and the lodge. We had some great fishing the first of March. The mid and later part of March was solid but not as good as Feb. Primarily because the bass were in heavy post spawn. I took my 10 year old son down and we had a blast for spring break.

We still have some availability for April and May if you want to squeeze in a trip before we close for summer. Many people have put thier sights on the fall topwater fishing, as we have already seen allot of bookings for Oct and Nov.

We see no reason for next season to be anything but better, and based on the activity I would recommend you get your dates penciled in early. I will try to post some of the photos from Feb and March next week when I get back to work.

I have not been to Huites, but I did go to Baccarac in January. I have been fishing Falcon regularly since 1989. Of all the huge sacks I have had on Falcon, every one of my three days on Baccarac was the best day of my fishing life.
