Can anyone recommend any access points to good creeks in the Fort Worth area? Also is the Trinity River good in the winter? Is there still a consumption ban? Thanks much.........

The park, and therefore the ramp, is shut down. Been too windy to luanch from main lake to try and get into the creek. I am assuming the creek is up. Will try again Saturday and report back...

Thanks much......... i live in fort worth and drive to dallas to white rock creek in the winter for crappie fishing. if you can, it is worth the drive. I would not eat anything out of lake worth or the trinity.

I wonder why it is still closed. It can't be flooded anymore, the lake is just under pool level. Any info on that please?

Village Creek under I20 (lake Arlington) and on in through Kennedale can be good. Also the creek that feeds Benbrook.

There are crappie in alot of the creeks in Ft.Worth off the Trinity. But yes, do not eat them. The Trinity river in the Dallas area is ok, but 100% for sure do not eat anything out of Lake Worth! (But man oh man is there big fish there..shhh..)

(But man oh man is there big fish there..shhh..) They are in the process of dredging and cleaning up lake worth. Hopefully, they can restore it to its former glory. One of the best crappie lakes around for sure.

I've also been thinking of checking different points along fossil creek prior to where it dumps into the trinity. And bear creek in the mid cities isn't to far, but I have no knowledge of that as yet. Anyone tried either of these?
I tried village creek this sping just south of lake arlington. What a mess, and I didn't catch a single sandy either. I have serious reservations about returning there.
