Hi all, have started Carp fishing again after many, many years. Where are the places to go ? I will travel as needed. Thanks

 There are lots of carp in that area. Lake Houston, Buffalo Bayou, and the Brazos River all have carp. This forum has many great anglers, so you should get some response from locals.

Go to the video section of this site and check out all the videos from Bites and Strikes. He fishes your area and catches some really nice carp and catfish.

Thanks guys, appreciate the support. Like mentioned above, all the local rivers have carps, but I believe that they have bigger populations of small mouth buffalos. You can also hit just about any pond or lake in the area. Most have carps and buffalo but you'll need to fight off the channel cats in the ponds. It's time on the water that will tell you the best places.

Yeah, went to Tom Bass that was very good for Carp. Have any been to Buffalo Run and/or Independence park in Missouri City?
