Jig-A-Buggy Fly Minnow or bug? In certain situations fish key in on minnows and/or bugs. On a recent trip to the creek my buddy Ray tossed his version of a damsel fly and it was very well received by many bass, crappie and sunfish. I was using a micro jig dressed up as a minnow which was working OK but not as well as the bug fly Ray was using. I got back on the tying bench and whipped up a micro-jig buggy looking fly. The next several trips out have proved it works..

I've tied this froggy fly for many years and have refined the pattern down to this.. infinitely variable the froggy fly can be scaled up or down with color variations to "match the hatch" no matter where you fish.
