After 190k+ miles on my 2020 Silverado, it was time to get a new truck. I dreaded buying new vehicles in the past, but Monte, Barry and the Moritz Chevy team made it a breeze again, as they did with my '14 and '20 purchases. Nice to always be treated like a loyal customer and a fishing buddy.

Went with the TurboMax 2.7L turbocharged 4 cylinder this time. Towing and driving, MPG on the interstate is pretty similar on it as with the 5.3L V8. However, around town and on shorter trips, way way better MPG with the 4 banger towing and just driving. More torque in the new motor as well, so no issues at all towing my 20' aluminum. The newly designed 8-speed transmission shifts smoothly and seems much improved over the old 8 speed that they had issues with. Never thought I'd have a pickup with a 4 cylinder, but so far I'm loving it.

See you in another 200k miles Monte!

No shame in that motor - had one pulling a landscape trailer all day, every day for a year and it didn't sweat it at all.

Congrats on the slick looking ride. The new Chevy's are nice.

One caution, be careful when pushing the Auto/Start/Stop button to disable it - the tailgate release is right next to it. I've already fat fingered it once and dropped the tailgate by mistake. GM will have to move/fix that at some point.
