I’m taking all of next week off and am not coming back until the following Monday. The problem is, I never seem to be able to do anything fun over Thanksgiving break. It’s like all the time gets scheduled up doing BS. It looks, like that will be happening again this time around. Doctor’s appointments, hanging lights, doing the whole dang Thanksgiving meal stuff, seeing relatives that don’t want to go do stuff. I almost kind of regret the holidays. I know I’m looking at it all wrong and will regret my current attitude but man, I’d love to just go fish, play golf and shoot guns the whole dang time.

I was taking today off to get a head start on it and ended up having to buy a $200+ kitchen faucet and install it this morning. Fun.

This. When I plan time off I let me wife know what my plan is. Family is fine for thanksgiving but I’m going fishing after that

LOL! The things you're wishing for is exactly what I'll be doing. Good luck on working it out and have a great Thanksgiving!

No. Because then you’re sneaking around. Just say “F it, I’m going fishing”.

Down time is hard to get for a working man.

The holidays generally don’t qualify as downtime.

I would fake an injury (just like the Cowboys) and tell the wife the Dr. put you on IR. Go do all the cool stuff you want to do and tell her it was medical appointments

Come to think of it, I never knew a guy named Jack I ever liked. You are now on the list. One day, I will publish a full list of names. Until then it will be a secret. Santa will give you coal this year for doing all the stuff you want to do next week. Curse you.

Started being off today through Thanksgiving weekend. I went to Trinity Bay and we caught the trout decent. Also Reds. Primarily rats but one keeper about to hit the pit.
