I agree that country is dead. Rap is not country but they try to pass it off as country. I call it the DEI effect on country music. Jerry Reed was one of the best guitar players to live. Many now refer to his music as borderline rap. I don't care what you call it he was genius.

My cousin plays the bass on this song, even he is embarrassed by it Your cousin is not a guy named Lance is it? One of my high school buddies has been a bass player in Nashville for 30+ years.
