The past couple of weeks have continued to be about as good as it gets for Eater Size Blues and Channels on RC! We've continued to fish the timber on the Richland Creek Arm of the Lake in 10'-20' FOW on most of our trips. I've been a loyal Danny Kings Punch Bait user for the past 20 years, but recently saw the Thread & Video in this section about Mr. Whiskers Cheese Punch Bait and decided to try it. Here's my takeaway after conducting over a dozen trips in the past couple of weeks. I chose the "Blood" Cheese Punch Bait because I've always caught the most fish on DK's "Blood" Punch Bait. Mr. Whiskers cost is better than most any Punch Bait on the market. I ordered two "2 Gallon" Buckets at a cost of $59 per Bucket. My Son and I almost totally went through them, and I reordered late last week. Product comes from Alabama, and I received them in four days. Mr. Whiskers doesn't require refrigeration, stays firm and stays on the hook well. If the bite is aggressive, you don't have to rebait after each fish as the filler or cattails used leaves a little on the #4 treble hook we use. I sometimes used a smaller #6 Hook, and it required even less bait. As far as results, we limited out on most trips using Mr. Whiskers. On one trip I used Punch Boat from both Companies and had the same results. On another day, Adam used DK's and I used Mr. Whiskers and both of us had full Ice Chests. There is one more advantage to Mr. Whiskers and that is that it is less smelly and less messy, and the boats requires less clean up. If you're a Cheese Punch Bait user, check Mr. Whiskers out at www.whiskerseeker.com and I'll bet you'll be pleased like we were.
