Caught about 40 yesterday. It has been really really good. They want meat. Get any bait fish whole or cut it in half. Get with me if wanting to get out on the boat.

Big rain coming next week...hopefully it doesn't put too much fresh water into the bays too quickly. If a guy was gonna be down there during next week's rains, would you just fish as you normally would (barring lightning and high winds of course)?

Southcentral Texas and the hill country is bone dry. We need a lot right NOW! Long range forecast is not that promising at all! eeks

Side Note: I sure hope we got some!

Depends on how much rain. Use that freshwater to your advantage. Yes it displaces the fish. Figure out where.... reds and flounder tolerate A LOT of freshwater as long as the bait is there. But for the most part there are areas that hold saltwater better and don't get quite so fresh. The fish escape those slugs of freshwater into those areas of saltier water....concentrates the fish and we target them.

Some huge areas of the bay have very very very little freshwater influence at all.
