Lake elevation 617.32
Water temps 83-88

Fishing has been decent but you better be there and ready when it’s happening. Lots of searching most days
Using all topwater and slabs. I have seen people catching with live shad drifting and seen trolling has been working for other people fishing but the last few Slab runs I’ve seen those guys pull in the downrigger’s in start ripping slabs.
Ready for fall can’t come soon enough.
There’s been some real serious crowds on the lake this summer I’m ready for hunting and cooler weather to start it will definitely slow the traffic down.
Did see mepps master DC on big T smile
Some catches

Chris, was good seeing you and your party out there. Since you titled this post August Texoma lures, I thought I would share what we discovered works for the last few years. It is the 2/5 oz Little Cleo spoon. (picture below). We catch more reeling these up through the deep stripers than with slabs. You have to wait longer for the fall, but it pays off. We tried 1/3 oz and 3/4 oz Little Cleos and catch some on them too, but the 2/5 oz seems to work best.

Happy to hear, BigT Chris! I noticed the fish are chunky healthier this summer. The same goes for Tawakoni hibbies. So the shad population is thriving too at my two fav lakes. Happy happy all around cheers

I'll tell you select group of fisherman what I learned over the hellish weekend on Texoma while throwing a cast net for shad. I caught very few shad but my 7 ft net got really heavy with the spring spawn of stripers!
