If you use google earth, the latest images of Lake Fairfield and surrounding property are interesting.

The lake looks drawn down and instead of being “developed” it looks as if most of the state park facilities were demoed.

Very interesting

The park has been gone for a long time. They are supposed to be building a golf course and developing lots for sale.

Yep. They left the roads sorta there and stripped the boat ramps. Haha. I guess to keep the construction crews from bringing their boats to work with them?

Looks like all they've done is bulldoze the boat ramps and the building at the entrance, I see zero work being done on a golf course Tiger Woods and Ben Crenshaw have already bought houses on... rolleyes

There is a tornado on the ground at the Fairfield state park. Maybe fun to go watch TI construction equipment getting tossed into the lake.

Just sayin

Wait, weren't we told that no one invests that much money and lets the property just sit there? Todd and his (Chinese) investors are losing money every second that the property sits idle! That's why they had to destroy the park office immediately. Time is money!

Latest aerial photos I saw nothing has changed, doesn't look like much development has gone on after the state stood down.

Google Earth is not live and not up to date many times.

My Google Earth shows the latest images were taken 1/9/2024 and it looks like nothing has happened in a while.

I bet the fishing is pretty good right now.

popcorn I've seen some developments like this fizzle. Usually the investors butting heads. I've seen some wait on economic change and had one where I was raised fail because they didn't have the clientele in the area to support it.
There was a development built back in the late 80's north of Monroe, Louisiana that was built on a bayou with an Arnold Palmer golf course. The developers just put infrastructure and were trying to sell lots around the golf course and bordering the bayou. Back in those days you could buy a really nice house for what they were asking for lots and with the economy being what is there it crashed and burned. Bankruptcy eventually ate the whole thing.
Unless the developers and investors have a falling out I figure this Fairfield thing will eventually go.

They should take all of these old coal plants and put in Nuclear Reactors! They already have the cooling water and infrastructure they need! There is only a small chance of a meltdown!

If what some of the others are saying here that could possibly happen.
Have the north area bought with eminent domain for a nuclear power plant and the rest remain in his possession.

I don't know if there have ever been any powerplants built on a private lake so they might try to open it back up.
