se buy a new max sized suv every few years, loaded out all the latest and greatest For basically the same vehicle as the 2020 that we have now, the 2024 is $90K or so The price has increased substantially in 4 years. If you voted for Ole Burden, thanks! But but but we were told on this very forum that prices would decline…..

Lexus is a fine vehicle that will hold up for a long time with only minimal repairs, usually just maintenance, good choice!

Deals are everywhere. I just googled "Ford explorer promotions" and this link to Bob Tomes Ford in McKinney came up with them offering $2k off MSRP. They were $5k over MSRP 12-24 months ago. Give it another 6-12 months and let's see if the discounts grow even more. Or just keep pretending that economics and math aren't real. link

The fact that the Ford Explorer didn`t hold its value anymore that that would make me never buy another Ford product. Even with that many miles is ridiculous. Thats why I driven Hondas since 1996.
if you ever need a pickup you would do good to buy ford. have owned all 3 domestic brands (sorry rice burners) and gm sucks for lying, dodge has the/discount performance, ford now has longevity and performance. show me the specs. actual performance of the 5.7 gm, 5.7 (or whatever it is) hemi to the 5.0 coyote (closest ford has). some models may suck but overall, ford rules right now. imo Our PD had bought at various times Dodge (Chargers and pickups), Ford (Explorers and F150s), and Chevrolet (Tahoes and pickups). Dodge was the least reliable by a long shot. Ford not far behind. We had way less trouble, and better performance, from Chevrolet. The F150 they issued me was not safe to drive in a pursuit or an emergency run. The brakes and handling were by far the worst I ever experienced. One of the other detectives' F150 never ran right, and the Ford dealership kept insisting that everything checked out good. The Chief finally sent it to an independent mechanic. He said the computer was bad. Sure enough, replacing it cured the long-term problem. No more Fords for the PD. Costs too much to keep 'em on the road.

I didn't care for the pre-2005 f150s and chevy's were much better back then. It's kind of switched around now

The Dodges were like fifteen years ago. The Fords were four or five years ago.

I asked the young salesman why Lexus wouldn’t make trucks and he said, “oh we do, they’re called Tundra’s”😁 And thanks fellas.
