I have a question. Does anyone know Texas lakes where I could set up my tent, next to the water. I know most places have dedicated camp sights away from the water.
Thanks

Texas is a big place my friend... can you help out by dialing this down to a more specific region of Texas?

Mike is right, I would suggest narrowing down your location and we can provide as much feedback as possible. Otherwise I would suggest checking out the TPWD website. I personally prefer camping along rivers like the Brazos below PK. However I plan to try and hit one of the Texoma islands this year.

One of these days I will hit Texoma... I have never caught a striper and would like to learn how to do so.

I have always liked chasing sand bass with an ultralight and road runner.... Stripers seem like sand bass fishing for big boys... LOL.

Sandbass are SUPER thick on Texoma. I typically hit the point just outside of the public boat ramp by the dam. If I can really get in to them I can find a few stripers under them or just mixed with them at the surface.

Thanks for the advice guys... I have more time on my hands now and I need to make space to learn striper fishing!
