Have a 2005 521 vx. Want to say goodbye to the middle seat. Looking for alternatives for a coin box or just a step. Anyone have any experience to share or suggested solutions that have worked?

I just took leftover carpet and covered a piece of 1/2” thick ABS. The original flip up seat/step was a pain to flip, so the center seat was just always getting stepped on. Decided not to pay for a replacement the last time.

Leaning this direction myself.

I’ve put these in a couple boats, they’re solid, make a good step and I don’t think it’s possible to tear one up. They aren’t water tight though, I wouldn’t put a phone in one if it’s raining. Water goes in but doesn’t come out unless you drill some extra holes. For the money they work great.
