I was wondering about the Grasslands, and did a search of the fly forums. I guess they have started amputating old threads here, which seems pretty logical most of the time. Sure I know there's little-to-no water there, but it just seems like a good time to get far far away from the crowds. I'm just looking for an escape plan ... anyone been in that area lately?

Windmill Lake is a fly fishing only lake, but not sure if this is really enforced.

Looking like these conditions could be good for a run to LBJ Grasslands tomorrow! A little more water there now probably ... more than zero.

More rain on the Grasslands! Could it be getting better there?
