Four of us want to hire a guide for a Sept. 26th trip. After researching I am a little overwhelmed at the number of guides available, and a little confused on the pricing. Most state a base price for 3 people and extra per person over 3. Also some want an additional fuel charge. I am okay with the pricing, just trying to understand it, and get a good deal....Lawton

There are tons of striper guides on Whitney. And yes, pricing can vary. One issue is that guides drive in from other areas like Waco, Ft. Worth, some further, ect. Those guys you might see charging more than someone local since they are traveling in. Clay Yadon (Reel Deal Guide Service), Michael Houston (Houston Guide Service), Clay Stacks (Clays Guide Service), Cory Vinson (Guaranteed Guide Service) are a few you would want to check on.
I guide on Whitney as well, but I'm not available that day.

Thanks TRH: We booked with Michael Houston. Although I am interested in going with you next time, or maybe the 27th if you are available....Lawton
