Actually 2 questions.
1. Can a guide catch fish and include those fish in the customers limit? In other words, if the customer is struggling can they guide catch fish as well and the customer keep both the fish they catch and the fish the guide catches as long as it isn't over the bag limit for 1 angler? 2. on a guided trip, is the limit combined? Can 2 people keep 50 fish legally even if 1 of the catches 40 and the other catches 10?
Both questions are specific to fishing with a guide.
I have no interest in doing either, but this came up in another discussion. The regs don't really make it clear...at least not for me.
"Life is a matter of luck and the odds of success are in no way enhanced by extreme caution." - Erich Topp, German U-boat Commander, 1943.
When in doubt, set the hook.

I may be wrong& or the regs may have changed, [ Disclamer] there was info in regs stating that if multiple people were fishing or hunting. you could fill out a harvest document, stating both persons name, license # ,date even contact info. and be legal. { HARVEST DOC] I have taught hunter ed in the past, so was aware of this

The boat limit for a guide and two customers is 50, regardless of who catches them. After the cleaning is done, and one customer leaves with all the fish , technically , he should obtain the harvest document mentioned above.
I doubt this is done in all cases, and have never heard of it being enforced.
There was a case that made the news a while back , a couple of anglers on LOP, had something like 275 crappie in their possession at the campground. The most they could legally keep at camp would be 2 days , so they were 175 over the limit. I wonder how much that cost them.
your mileage may vary

If you go bird hunting and the limit is 30 birds for two 15 birds each, can you shoot 20 and your buddy shoot 10. You can unless the warden finds out. Same thing
