I use 10 lb braid and 8 lb mono on most of my spinners. I use the Alberto shown in this video below except for one change — I do not do the wraps going back to the loop at the end. I use 7 wraps going up and then put the tag directly in the loop. Just moisten the loops before putting the tag in the mono loop and cinching. Makes it that much easier to tie and the knot is super strong. Will not break at the knot. I used to use a double uni knot before I went with this one. This knot is easier to tie and MUCH more reliable. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MG4QXWfLoC8.

I haven't had any issues with the FG knot. I'm not certain if I tie a true FG but whatever version I do tie, it works.

Going to try this knot out.

The FG is the smallest and best knot if you can tie it fast enough. Look at the video with the SaltStrong guy doing it and tie them till you can tie it in a couple minutes.
I've caught up to 100 pound yellowfin with it and its never failed.

Ive caught 200 lb sharks on 20 lb mainline to 40 lb leader with alberto knot, and saved a minute retying without FG knot.. good enough for government work.

If so, could you post your results for everyone!

I've used a bunch but the Dodd knot has performed the best. Goes through the guides really well.
