What brand and weight oil have you guys found to be the best for a 150 Mercury 4 stroke. Motor has 40 hrs on it. Previous owner is not sure of what he put in it. Thinks it was quicksilver????

Yes sir. There are 2 different weights 10W-30 and 25W-40. Which one for this motor.

Yes sir. There are 2 different weights 10W-30 and 25W-40. Which one for this motor. Why don't you download the user manual for your motor off the Mercury website? That would give you all the info you need on your motor on this and other issues.

They recommend in Texas 26w-40
