I have zero faith that these thugs will face any real punishment at all. One, it’s California and two, it’s California. Thugs are embraced and military is the enemy. They are probably already back on the street or will be today.

Had something like that happen in one of the parks in Boston back in the 70's to some sailors when I was stationed there. Admiral of the base was not happy how the local PD handled it and send in three busloads of sailors in what he called a dungaree party for the hippies that did it. Never had any problems anywhere in that area again.

I don’t expect much to happen to the thugs. It’s California with lax law enforcement and lenient DA’s. I would guess the story will disappear from the news feeds in a few days. Exactly. CA will probably give the thugs an award. I know one thing...there's going to be retaliation. Marines will be down there looking for fun...I mean trouble now. Their CO's better nip this in the bud quickly. history may repeat itself? My guess…
There will be an abundance of 18 year olds with very short haircuts around the area this weekend. Marines stick together. An attack on one will be viewed as an attack on all.
