Been a very long time since I've been on the water this much. Hybrid's have been good and nowhere I normally fish. Got tired of the boat show at the cuts, humps, and pits. It's not so much the number of boats but the lack of manners while fishing closely.
Anyway, I took off and went looking for signs of surface fish and bait popping. No luck.
Found some lake points and posted at the end of them 30FOW. Casting and slow rolling baits over the points. Don't expect sandbass action. Slow process but the reward is almost being spooled on light / medium tackle. I'll take 6 good fish to 80 + dinks.
Freezer is full of sandies and blues. All catch and release these days.

Good advice with reference to safety on zee lakes this weekend ! Kind of like New Years Eve, amateur night for the unseasoned drinkers . Stay off the water if one is seasoned , you know what's about to happen !
