As I pointed out Mark, the quote above came from Ford Media Center, not the UK. The article I posted was posted a year after they built the car and it was reported in the UK. Here is an article about the car in 2021. https://news.yahoo.com/ford-rolls-very-gay-truck-152519916.htmlNow you are saying it wasn't the subject matter and it was the way it was reported. I don't think so and the remarks on the different threads throughout this forum should prove that.

Transgenderism, or body dysphoria, is the only mental illness that is treated by affirming said mental illness. If an anorexic, which is also a mental illness, went to a doctor and asked for liposuction they would be denied. In contrast, the body dysphoria patient is called stunning and brave and is encouraged to mutilate their body. Body dysphoria is a rare condition where people want to chop off an appendage. People afflicted with it can be suicidal and some die after doing the deed. It can be treated but its not always successful. Its not transgenderism. Are you sure that people that go seek help with transgenderism are told to change first? Or do they get counseling and find out the best way to solve their problem is to get medical treatment after they look at non invasive means. The obvious difference in your comparison is that anorexia is a deadly condition if allowed to progress as you say by giving liposuction. Transgenderism is not. If a person feels the need to get a facelift they get a facelift. Body piercings, get body piercings. Yes, transgender is yickie and wowzer but it is their decision. It is obvious by reading your reply that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I wonder how transwomen get that way? Do they remove a body part? Is it some sort of appendage that is surgically altered? Hmmm.

They remove a body part when you are born with an extra thumb. That does not make you transgender, nor body dysphoria. The term describes people that feel they need to have a part removed. My brother was born with two thumbs but nobody would characterize him as transgender or having body dysphoria because they cut it off. Its not the chopping off, body dysphoria is the desire to have a body part removed. Transgender can have a part removed but many don't. I believe if you looked you would agree you included body dysphoria in your post without knowing what it is.
