Can I expect PINS to be reasonably quiet , or does it tend to be overcrowded around memorial day weekend .
I can drive down a good ways (or even all the way) if that's what it takes to find a nice surf fishing spot . I've been to PINS before , just not in the summer .
Thanks

My family and I spent last weekend around mile marker 15. The best day for us was last Friday, seas were about 1 foot or less and slightly choppy. I had 1 unidentified fish spool me in the 3rd gut and after that I caught trout non-stop on croakers. Saturday was cloudy with very calm sea. It was all skip jacks and only 1 trout. The beach is covered in sea weed however in the relatively calm waters the sea weed caused no issues and did not get in the way of our fishing. Even on the most crowded weekends I have been able to drive far enough to find a spot away from others.

Looking for some advice on driving all the way down from malaquite beach to the mansfield cut. The farthest I’ve ever gone is 20mi. How are the next 40? Ifni was going to stay overnight what do I need to know about the tides? I’ve gone 20mi in a 4wd long wheel base one ton duramax. Not an optimal beach buggy butnits done well down to 20mi. Thoughts on it making it 60? How long does it take? Whatever tidbits I can get I appreciate it

The times I’ve been down there even on busier weekends I’ve usually had no trouble finding some space with plenty distance to the next person in either direction before I got to 20mi
