I would fish up shallow right now. 3ft or less on wind blown banks. Have caught some every time we have been out. Using fresh shad. Hope this helps! Tight lines!

I'm going to just make a couple of suggestions.
Are you after channels or blues? My advice is for channels. I have never fished Cooper but I would assume its like other lakes I have fished in east Texas.
Just get you some range cubes and a quality punch bait but there are many baits that would work just fine. Heck this time of year you can fill a bucket full
of earthworms just by kicking back a pile of leaves. I went to Pines last week and caught a ton of fish in 9', 10', 14', and 24'
of water. I go to Fork often and always finds tons of fish in the 17 to 25 foot range. I see you are from Sulphur Springs. If its not too
much further for you I would just go to Fork. I know you can catch fish there. I would look for bottom structure or the edge of a creek channel. I am assuming you have a boat.
If you are fishing from the bank then disregard everything I said because I just have no idea. Hope this is at least a little bit helpful.
Good luck!!

The bluecat bite is wrapping up but fish wind blown grassy/brushy banks with punch bait and you will surely catch channel catfish !
