I have had luck at night in deep pockets at Fork. Moonlight helps and just tie up to tree. Might only get one or two bites but usually large fish I have never night fished, sounds fun to catch some monsters, but (wow) how do you stay awake just getting a couple of bites.

Night fishing is like no other. No wake boats & no village idiots. Fishing something like a worm makes you slow down , and you can really do well. Fish are nocturnal creatures and really let their guard down at night. If you haven't experienced it, your missing out.

Fish known big fish baits! Jigs, big worms, big crank baits, big top water baits and big swim baits. Try fish baits like a jig which is well known for catching giants or some of the others I mentioned above. If you don’t have any confidence in a specific type lure then use the Hank Parker method and commit solely to that lure until you’ve built your confidence in it and know how when and where it works along with the size of fish it catches. Hank’s method is simple, leave everything thing else at home so you will be forced to use the lure you’re trying to learn the ins and outs of. I promise if you try this and stick to it it will definitely improve your game.
Another thing to consider is to be aware of what all the other anglers are throwing on a particular body of water. Try something different but don’t let anyone know what you’re catching them on. If you choose to share information with anyone then soon most will be throwing what you are throwing especially if you’re catching giants. You need to think outside the box and try new things.
The bass fishing community used to be way more tight lipped than today and many anglers used that to their advantage. Take guide on say Lake Fork that is constantly telling through utube videos what he’s catching them on and even where, the rest of the guides on that lake are going to have a bad taste in their mouth for the individual giving all this information away. Guides are a good way to learn things we don’t know yet and can reduce the learning curve of fishing on your own.
Bottom line is you’re going to have to put in some time on the water to improve. Keeping a journal of how, when, where, what on, water temperature, clarity, was it sunny or cloudy, wind speed and direction are all things to take notice of. Every body of water is going to be a little different and the bass may prefer different things but they’re also creatures of habit and predictable. Tight lines!

All great information above. The only thing I would add is to try deeper water, especially since we are moving into summer. I have caught some of my biggest bass in water 20 to 25 feet deep. This is right but not all the time. It depends on the lake. Put on a heavier weight or a deep diving crankbait.
