It's much better to have one fuel cell whatever the size. The valve is the issue we have had for years. Even before the alcohol in the fuel, the valve was a pita... You will be so much better off like your thinking.

Probably best to just go with one tank. I was going to replace the fuel lines coming off the valve on mine and when I looked at the work involved to get to that valve I just put in a good filter.

Hopalong, Rowdy, d75bender- I've been following your thread- great help/advice/information from you guys on this issue- Just want to say, this is great that you guys can help on this forum- that is what i really like being on here- as I have learned much & saved time & money with great information like this shared on TFF. Thank the lord that TFF isn't just limited to complaining from all the the tournament fisherman about FFS, your fishing my brushpile, rules interpretation, etc. I have a 1995 Ranger that I may just have the same issue developing. Thanks again all you guys.

I know I feel the very same way about the tff. I have picked up so much good solid info on here from so many. When it's something I can elaborate about, I tack it on for any and all to see. Heck I even like to bounce ideas back and for. Long as we all get solid info about the stuff we all win...

I completely agree with all of you guys and really appreciate all the info...It's been a great help.
I had just got my boat back from the shop for shifting issues and spent 800$ there and didn't want to spend more $ taking it back in for something I think I can take care of with some help from the knowledgeable people here. I was able to pick up a Moller 27 gallon tank for 280$ brand new (getting delivered Tuesday), hoses will run me about another 1-120$ and I can do all the labor saving myself probably 500$ at least then if I had taken it in.
For less than 500$ i'll have a brand new fuel tank, a new pick up, fuel sender, all new hoses, water separator and so much more space in my boat on top of that.
Not only that but I'm taking out 3 fuel tanks and replacing it for 1, Its going to give me so much more space in my back compartment and free up space under my bench seat where the Aux tank is, I'm going to stick hinges on the bench seat and use the space under for more storage which my boat is severally lacking in. Gonna take some time rearranging everything but it's so worth it.
Thanks again, If I do a good enough job and proud of it I'll take before and after pics and post them when I'm done.
