I currently have a Garmin 1222 at the bow and a 1234xsv at helm and my transducer is GT56UHD-TM. They screens are connected/talk to each other via ethernet.

I'm looking to purchase a boat that has the Garmin Force Trolling motor and want to to take advantage of the built in transducer. Am I understanding it right that I will need another unit (2 total) at the bow for me to get the trolling motor transducer to work as the 12 series is single band?

I believe that you can add this sonar box and be able to utilize the transducer on the force troller. Don’t know how well it well work but it will save you some room and money. cheers
