On Saturday, June 10th, the Fort Worth Fly Fishers will be hosting an "Introduction to Fly Tying" session at the City of Keller's Bear Creek Park (400 Bear Creek Park Road, Keller, TX). This is for brand new and beginning fly tyers who want to experience fly tying in a relaxed, educational setting. Participants will be taught by an experienced fly tyers on tool usage, materials, and how to tie 3 to 4 simple, but effective flies. Participants will then get to tie their own flies and fish them on the small lake and/or Bear Creek, which runs through the park. The session will take place at Pavilion No. 1 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Lunch will be provided around 11:45 A.M. Please contact Frank Huneycutt at 214-796-7479 or frankhuneycutt@att.net if you want to participate so we can get an accurate head count for lunch and materials.
