If you want to document a freshwater world record and get your name in the record books, the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum (FFHF), located in Hayward, WI, is a great place to send an application. Most people think of the International Game Fish Association when they think of fishing records, but the FFHF is also a great place to document world records. The FFHF has normal rod and reel records and fly fishing records, with line class for some species. In addition, they have ice fishing records, and pole and line records, that I use with my Plnor (pole and line no reel) fishing technique. I just received my 100th world record certificate from them for this common carp. Time to get your world record documented. grin

Congratulations! The Hall is also an interesting visit for an hour or two, and while in that part of the country be sure to get a meal of fried yellow perch or walleye.

Congrats on your 100th world record certificate for common carp, that's an impressive achievement! You're right, the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame is often overlooked but it's definitely a valuable resource for documenting records.
