 Live Wells Water Drained

Had fish to trailer to weigh in in live well- live well was closed; but got to weigh in & water had drained out completely. Fish were ok & I weighed in- any suggestions on what may have happened during trailering as to why wells drained. thanks all.

Live well control valve obviously open. Check/cycle handle several times. Also you can backflush control valve through live well drain fitting. (may have debris in valve preventing it from closing all the way.

Live well control valve obviously open. Check/cycle handle several times. Also you can backflush control valve through live well drain fitting. (may have debris in valve preventing it from closing all the way. ^this^

I had that happen once. I now insert a plug into the drain if Iām trailering more than 15-20 minutes.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
