I need to replace my cranking battery and looking for suggestions. (No lithium) I need 1,000 cranking amps. Size isn't really an issue as I have plenty of room in my Champ 210. I also run 3 electronics on it also; so I'm guessing a dual purpose battery is best. Searching this forum didn't reveal many results. Thanks

Thank you. I called them and they suggested a slightly different battery. Just wish they were a little closer. Much appreciated.

X2 by Northstar. I don't have quite your needs, I run a 27 but the 31 X2 would be ideal for you at 1150 CCA

I run the X2. You can get them at Batteries +. I’m on my third year with mine.

That should be an awesome battery. I wanted Northstar, when I put the new batteries on my boat, I got them on several things around my house, they just didn't have any at that time...Great batteries jimo...

I'm dealing with this right now on my 2006 Procraft with Mercury 200 HP optimax. I just spoke with Mercury today and they say it is important to maintain the minimum cranking amps (1000 MCA/800 CCA) to avoid problems with ECM. From what i understand it's not just turning engine over, but the battery must have enough reserve to power up the ECM during starting process.
I just looked at X2 Northstar today.
Wondering if it is reasonable to expect the X2 battery to run multiple electronics and start engine safely (without damaging ECM). Or does it make more sense to add a 4th battery? With a 4th battery, I run into my on board charger only having 3 banks. A 4 bank NOCO charger is $400+.
If you all have had good success with running Northstar X2 for both starting and electronics, then that is definitely my simplest/best financial option.
