This last weekend a bunch of us accepted a gracious invitation to camp and fish at Jason's parent's Lake Fork cabin. So here's a few shots of something a little different from Fork this past weekend:

30lbs, 8oz!

35 inches long!

27 inches around!

Plenty more fish were caught, but I thought Brian's big 30lb, 8oz beast was most worthy of being reposted here.

For those interested in the tale and the rest of the pictures, the full, half-drunk story is here:

Yeah, I think everything gets big in Fork.

Catching a 30lb carp his first session at the lake is a pretty big deal, so needless to say, Brian was stoked! And so were the rest of us lol.

Well Artan, catch one and post the picture! Lol. I'd be pretty impressed, since the biggest carp I've seen from any fork of the Trinity, so far, was only 20lbs.

Plenty of buffalo in the 30lb range in the Elm Fork though.

Man! That is awesome! Great catchin'.

I was wondering how the trip worked out. It's hard to beat looking out on that georgous lake and not think there are some real beasts in there.

heck yeah, man that cove just south of 515 with the big red squeaky dock has some giant carp swimming in it in the spring, right where the main lake point is with all the cedar trees in the water
