Fished the Nueces on Saturday. The day was cloudy and cold 🥶 brrrr, but it beats being at home wishing.
We caught more sunfish this trip. Also caught lmb and crappie. The crappie seem to be excited about the spawn. The crappie that got caught faught like mules. Makes the fight more exciting. They were also solid and heavy, crappie been eating good. All fish were caught on ultra light tackle and JIGLYF jigs.














We kept a few for our daughter. The rest were released to swim another day.
At the end of our fishing and on the way back to boat ramp our battery died. So we had to whip out the oarse. 3 hours later we were at the boat ramp. So tiring, but we had fun.

Nice fish. With warm weather coming the fish may be firing up.

It's bad enough y'all are always making us feel little by posting all those beautiful pictures of God's country while we fish the muddy waters around here: Then you add to it that with the high pressure and cold weather nobody else could even catch fish. Y'all are really annoying me
