Not really, just not how that unit works... Brush it, bait it and they will come

Start with a very basic/cheap wireless ice fishing finder that allows the transducer to be thrown/casted out (use quality line and a good knot) and slowly retrieved or allowed to sit relatively still.

just find a used graph and hook it up to a battery.
I may have one I would donate. They are in my storage and If interested, just message me.

If all you're looking for is the presence of fish/ baitfish it should work great... And for the price you really can't go wrong... Dan

Depth, and some lines changing (Up-down) moving would indicate something is below the transducer. A better investment for your dock would be to plant some Brush all around the dock, and the fish will come. Old christmas trees, etc will bring in all kinds of fish.

Livescope would work. Mount it on a pole you can swivel.
I hate photobucket.
