Local TX Guide Carey Thorn catches and sells them here in Plano TX, and he will post up when he has them on the Facebook group 'Lake Levon Fisherman'. I just went and checked but I don't see anything this week. I will pm you his cellphone number - great guy.

I haven't had much luck using shad lately, catching fish on white perch/other than I have purchased from H Mart, the local Asian Store in Plano fyi.

Bob, that white perch was my best producer last season. I haven't been able to get over there to buy some lately though. I will say that last week I caught numerous small drum and a couple of yellow bass in my cast net and they were awesome baits. I haven't had any luck catching carp since the fall so I don't know if they're doing anything. I tried some tilapia the other day but they were previously frozen and pretty much just turned to mush. The gizzard shad that I had frozen in the fall still get bit but not as much as fresh so my theory on vacuum sealing hasn't held up very well.

Sorry Christian, not much help there but some store bought bats can work depending on how fresh it is. I would try to find a good fish market and try to get something like the white perch or some buffalo.
