2014 250 SHO

Stuck at middle position.
Won’t go either way.
I’d put it all the way down before the cold weather.

When that happened on my old Merc I loosened a fitting on the cylinder on the back of the boat and bleed off fluid letting the motor lower for the winter and then later fixed the problem(was a bad solenoid)

So have you tried the other tilt and trim stations? There will be a Fuze to check if no other stations are hot, either. You will need to work to figure out where the system is failed. Listen for a clicking noise under the engine hood.

Ok, if I understand you now, you do hear the trim motor running, but the engine doesn't move is that correct? I read you trimmed it all the way down, so it's down all the way? You can't get the engine to trim up now, but you do hear the motor running?

Couple of key questions there we need answers to. There is a manual release valve on the portside Transom plate, hole through the plate you will see a big screw head there with a flatblade slot. But before we go much further we need this info.

You mentioned, it's stuck in the middle position, but you had it all the way down before the cold weather, so did the engine come up a little then stop, or how did it get from all the way down to middle?

I raised it from all the way down to middle,it was sluggish.
That’s where it sits now.
Motor runs, but doesn’t go up or down.
Spayed all contact surfaces with WD40, no change.

I would get someone to help and try lifting on the engine while someone hits the trim switch up. If that doesn't work you can use the manuel release screw on the side of the motor. Get it all the way up and flip down the motor stands. Once it's up and secure check the fluid level. Just know if it lost fluid it needs the seals replaced.

Sounds to me like it's just low on fluid. You will need to get the motor up to add fluid.
