I’ve been getting that same thrill since ‘85.
Funny to see that Yum A-rigs get a full page spread this year.

I don’t think I’ve opened it in the last 10yrs. I sure loved getting that catalog when I was a kid. I use to earmark the pages for Christmas wish list. Now I think Johnny waist a lot of money. I bet 90-95% go in the trash. Everything is at your fingertips now.

I am less than 10 minutes from BPS in Grapevine but I still like looking thru the catalog.

Have a BPS dang near within view of me but I still go to Academy 95% of the time. I just know that when I go into BPS I will pay to much for what ever it is I am looking for.

Live 45 minutes away from one...when I go to into the office / warehouse it's less than 10 away. No matter, I still find myself thumbing through the pages, dog ear pages with baits I like, and reading about new reel features.

I looked through mine last night. It reminded me of looking at the Sears and Wards catalogs when I was a kid.

when I was young back in the late 70's and started getting the BPS master catalog in the mail I would wear it out studying every page... I used to keep every year I got one, then sometime in early 2000 I threw them all away, along with every issue of Bassmaster Magazine i kept pristine from when I joined BASS in 1980... I got tired of moving them all - I still get Bassmaster as a life member, but once read in the trash they go... LOL the catalog in your hand today is lame compared to the master BPS catalog they used to make... they lost their luster... enjoy your catalogs...

I used to love getting it as well. I held on to it for a day this time but then threw it in the trash without ever opening it up. I have a bad taste in my mouth for Bass Pro due to their prices. Last time I checked the in-store prices were like 30% higher on 10XDs then tackle warehouse. If I'm going to buy online I'll just buy through a cheaper channel. Zero point in actually driving to one of the stores to get there and find out they don't have the color I want.

Got mine today and flipped through it. Had to do a double take when I saw a Zebco reel for $139.99. Page 108 if you don't believe me.
