I'm a HS captain in need of some help on Ray Hubbard. Not looking for locations, baits, sweet spots, etc.

I've never been on this lake, so I'm needing to know which ramps are safe to use. Have the best parking, Costs to park if any, etc.

What hazards do I need to know about?

Which ramps / marinas / end of the lake fishes easiest for kids when the winds are blowing?

Want to be prepared for all things as we fish in early February.

Thanks in advance.

Chandlers Landing or Harbor Bay Marina, I believe $20 to launch at either ramp and plenty of parking at both and no worries about getting your truck broken into. Trust me, it’s worth $20. South of I-30, really no hazards. Just watch your map for shallower areas. Between I-30 & Hwy 66 bridge, run from I-30 and stay near the marina on the right if headed to 66. In other words, don’t run due north once you’re under I-30 and headed to 66, big trees and lots of them in the middle of the lake.

North of Hwy 66 bridge, you’re on your own.

Good luck

There are some big stumps on the main lake, but there are buoys. Points extend and are silted shallow. The west side north of 30 is sketchy as well.
The public ramp at 66 is okay if you get there early.
The public ramp in Heath is rough in any wind!
I launched at Caha road once or twice and I have heard of others launching there just fine. People always complain about it though.

Chandler's is only open to launch if you have a slip on the weekends (maybe this is a summer rule).

That is a summer rule David. February at Chandlers should be no issue for the public

66 is a good ramp. It’s free, protected from wind, and not too crowded this time of year. Be sure to use either of the outside two ramps tho. The wider ramp in the middle is really steep.

Chandlers has a debit/credit card machine next to the ramp. Harbor Bay, you have to go in the office I believe.

I wouldnt worry about the ramp. The drive over to Sunnyvale High School for the weigh in is the biggest beating of all!

Lots of construction last year going the back way from Chandlers. Highway was bumper to bumper. That whole area right now is a beat down traffic wise!

And then some! I'm sure plenty of folks will be late to weigh in!

I unloaded at Chandlers today. $20.00 fee and the credit card machine is still broken, you have to go into the office to pay, and the office is on the opposite side of the building from the ramp.
