Made appointment with Graff chevrolet and when I get there agent informs me that the replacement will cause the dash
to crack at the top left corner and they will not accept responsibility. After a google search it appears it is common and
GM denies responsibility.
Anyone have knowledge of dealer with service department that can replace passenger air bag without cracking dash.

My 2008 mine was cracked before they replaced it.

I've been a GM guy my entire life, but here is another example of their inferior interior designs.

The first thing she did was look to see if mine was cracked then told me it most likely will when the replacement was done.
She said they are usually already cracked at my trucks age.



My 87' Silverado dash was cracked in three places when I sold it to bil but all else was good, wish I still had that truck.

Mine was cracked also. Actually several on my 09. But I did one of the full dash skin overlays which looks pretty good and covers all the cracks.

Mine also 2009, Just had it done last week.
