This is my favorite reel to bass fish with but I little on the expensive side. Just found it on sale and ordered another which will be here tomorrow. It is on sale for over $100 off at $207. Just thought I would share the saving with you all. I included the link below for those who are interested.

Wow, 10.1:1 gear ratio. Now I know why they call it the Rocket.

I love it. Helps to reel them toads in quickly, especially when fishing in and around cover.

Never used any of KK equipment. I have heard a lot of good and bad things about them. The only true test is to get one for myself. Its just hard to step away from my Abu Garcia lineup. I know they will last for years with proper care.

Thanks for sharing. I picked up a Rocket very gently used with the original box and look forward to using it in the coming weeks.

I love Revos. I have a Rocket. No reel I have ever owned backlashes as easily as that reel. I chalked it up to the fact that I suck at fishing. However, my partner who does NOT suck at fishing has the same issue with it. Casting with it is fine. I've turned mine in to a Caroline Rig reel

those brake systems are pretty iffy at best

I just can't bring myself to buy or use a maroon reel. Heck of a discount though.

I have a KastKing spinning. Size 500. Bought it for a toy type thing. Didn't take it seriously. It showed up stiff. The bail wasn't that smooth but the gear train was. Drag adjustment isn't bad. The crank support bearings are a hair loose.

After working the reel. Using some Lews reel oil. It's now silky smooth. $25 bucks and I don't regret getting it. KastKing has been making a name for themselves in the budget arena and they're serious about being the go to for a lighter budget.

When I first got it, I had a few backlashes. Now that I have it tuned in, never really have that problem anymore.
